I. What is air filter?
Air filter (Air filter) is a system consisting of fibrous materials capable of removing particles such as dust, pollen, mold, bacteria ... stored in the air, which may contain chemical substances for absorption. , adsorbs substances in the air such as volatile solvents.
III. Currently, air filtration is divided into 3 levels:
1. Primary filter:
The primary filter, also known as the pre filter, is a type of filter that is installed at the inlet of the clean air filtration system to prevent coarse dust particles larger than 20 microns in size.
2. Intermediate filtering:
The intermediate filter, also known as the secondary filter, is a type of filter device that is placed after the primary filter, the second level of filtration in the air treatment system, cleans air. The intermediate filter can remove dust particles larger than or equal to 0.5micron. The commonly used intermediate filter is the air filter bag, which has many different levels of filtration from: F5 air filter bag, F6 air filter bag, F7 air filter bag, F8 air filter bag. If the bag filter is not used in some cases, a medium filter can be used
3. Fine filter or HEPA filter:
HEPA filter is the most refined device in the clean air filtration system and is an indispensable device in the system. HEPA filter can filter dust particles from 0.3micron or more with efficiency for HEPA H13 filter is 99.99%. For Heat-resistant HEPA Filter can withstand in high temperature environment up to 250oC.
III. Initial differential pressure and replacement differential pressure of the air purifier.
1. Initial differential pressure:
When placing a brand new filter in position on the path of the air flow, in order to achieve a certain flow of air through the filter, we must first overcome the filter's resistance, that is, create a pressure brake. filter resistance. Also depending on the size of the filter hole and the structure and arrangement of the filter, each filter level and type of filter will have a different initial pressure difference.
Pre-filter: the initial pressure difference is usually 17-42Pa.
Fine filter: the initial pressure difference is usually from 55-160Pa.
Hepa filter: the initial pressure difference is usually from 250-350Pa.
2. Final differential pressure:
The level of pressure difference will gradually increase with the operating time of the filter. When the filter reaches a certain pressure differential, we need to replace the filter. It can be said from the beginning to the end differential pressure is the life and time of using the filter.
Pre-filter: the final pressure difference is usually from 200-250Pa.
Secondary filtration: end pressure difference is usually 400-450Pa
Hepa filter: the final pressure difference is usually from 500-750Pa.
IV. Filter change time:
Usually to calculate the filter life we have the following ways:
Measure the differential pressure according to the end differential pressure of the filter to be replaced.
Based on the time of use: for the primary filter, it is changed every 3-4 months, for the secondary filter, it is changed once every 4-6 months, for the fine filter, it is changed once every 1-2 years.
