A dust filter bag is a specialized filtration device commonly used in industrial dust collection systems to remove airborne particles and contaminants. These bags are typically made from technical fabrics such as polyester, PPS, PTFE, Nomex, FMS, and acrylic, ensuring high filtration efficiency and long-term durability.
Dust filter bags are installed in baghouse systems, industrial vacuum cleaners, and air filtration units to maintain clean air, protect machinery, and improve worker safety.
Dust filter bags operate based on the principle of mechanical particle retention. As contaminated air passes through the filter, particles larger than the fiber gaps are trapped on the outer surface of the bag. Over time, a dust cake forms on the surface, enhancing the filtration performance.
However, as the dust layer thickens, airflow resistance increases and filtration efficiency decreases. To restore optimal performance, the bags need to be cleaned using shaking, reverse air, or pulse-jet cleaning systems. The cleaning cycle depends on dust concentration, dust type, and airflow speed. Regular maintenance is recommended—typically every 3 months—for maximum efficiency.
